My first weekend with the new AE system here. All self playing 2 row system - no midi coming in and there's no CV sequencing in my set up at this point; don't expect much in the way of melody... This is fantastic! I mean I’m still only listening to the first track, but those sounds are big! What an incredible demo of the two row system! Is it just the basic Starter System or did you add more modules? Sorry, I feel that you might have written about that already, but I forgot, edit P.S. I’d like to read more about your creation process Why thank you, that's very kind! So I got the two row but added some extra bits to it - wavefolder, spring reverb, another env2, topograph... maybe something else, I forget without looking. (I got an MMDIV two days ago though that doesn't feature on these). Creation wise these really just started as experiments to learn the individual modules - for example how well does the envelope work as an oscillator was the basis of one of the tracks. I love that exploration with new systems, since nothing is ever completely expected, so went into this knowing I was going to record (and flesh out) the highlights of those experiments...It was just a case of building each experiment into a vague sketch, then recording via the second headphone module output into a korg mr1. I ran the recordings through my full rig and then trimmed a couple of tracks down (and omitted a few) as they were either too long, boring from the outset or similar. I've been working this way for quite some time now - other than a couple of bits (with vocals) on my bandcamp, all are live performances into a stereo recorder.
