This album is a live recording of the patch that I arrived at during my improvisation in my live stream on Drone Day, May 30th. I really liked the atmosphere of the patch, but then who would view a 4 hour recording on YouTube?? So today, just before I ripped out all the patch cables and initialised my other synths, I recorded the set one more time. Applied some mastering and the awesome, free Valhalla Massive plugin in Reaper and there you go ... as slowscape put it so nicely ... this will put your baby to sleep the5thvolt.bandcamp.com/

having a listen this morning! Really enjoying it, love that airy noise you've got moving in and out - is that the digital noise from the noise module?
Big fan of Valhalla too..!

That airy noise is actually the Algodrone going through a filter. The Algodrone is a really strange and amazing module. 99% of the time it produces noisy stuff that I don't know what to do with, but then by just messing with it I get to the 1% that are just right at that moment.

ah fantastic!
Yeah I've been having a play around with the Algodrone too - mostly finding that sweet spot like you say, then using CV to modulate around it with the parameter controls

Great work 5th volt. I was sitting and listening to this while I was playing my acoustic guitar. On the 1st track,, chord wise. To my ears it starts in C#, goes on to B then finally morphs between G and B. I've been enjoying jamming with it.

Did a little remix of the 1st track I downloaded. Hope that's OK - not for resale or anything etc. Added a bit of guitar here and there.

I like how you added those little sprinkles of guitar notes here and there. I have to admit that I did not actually tune my oscillators in any way, just turned knobs until it "sounded ok" to my ears. I'm really happy that you like it.

I really enjoyed listening to those, I'm so jealous of the fluidity/smoothness you've harnessed into the processions.
