Hi there, I’d like to attach the AE modular (Single narrow case) to a Moog DFAM which is slightly bigger (3-4mm), using a modified version of the Hinge fixation system.. That may be interesting for other people, so I’m sharing the idea I’m case someone else gets interested. Unfortunately, the DFAM screws are not the same as the hinge ones : Moog uses what seams to be a US standard 3,5mm (I don’t know about the thread right now) My initial idea was to drill a 5mm hole on the side wood pieces of the DFAM, to attach the Hinge system. For that I purchased flat screws, in order to make it possible without removing screws on the DFAM. Using the existing mounting holes of the DFAM with the same threading would be a better solution. But this would be possible only if Robert can make a 3,5mm mounting screws option for the Hinge system (we had a discussion about that, and it may be possible). There is also a little length difference between both machines that we can solve with spacers. This gap is very close to the size of 3 plastic discs used to build the hinge screws. If possible to make a “custom” hinge system for Moog mounting it would be interesting also to find a bar fixed to the remaining hole of the Hinge, for grabbing/transporting the whole thing, as in the Arturia rack mounting concept (you can check here the idea : www.arturia.com/products/hardware-synths/rackbrute-6u/overview)I will look around to see what can be found to do it easily. Let me know if someone has some idea or some interest on this topic.
